Joeys (Pre-K)
At Wombat Hollow Farm, we know that every child expresses their needs in different ways. That every child needs to be nurtured and given time to explore, create and thrive with a gentle, loving and patient heart.
That’s why we keep our classes small, at a six to one ratio, allowing us to give your child the time and attention they need.
At Wombat Hollow, we love to start the day with Yoga and music. We touch base on the month’s celebrations and special events, then get ready to play outside!
Throughout the day, we listen to stories from around the world and incorporate STEM into as much of our curriculum as we can.
Our programs are child-led and follow your child’s excitement and passions.
We have guests regularly visit to share their passions to offer our friends new opportunities to be inspired. From marine biology and paleontology to musicians, artists and even professional swordsmen.
Our Pre-K programs are nature-based, meaning they are inspired by nature to create opportunities for learning. We enjoy access to 5 acres of property that includes wetlands, pastures, forests, gardens and play areas.
We enjoy lots of time with animals and take time to explore as well as learn about farming. We will regularly have homemade snacks and the opportunity to cook and create our own tummy treats from the produce the farm grows.
Children’s gardens surround the play areas and allow hands-on experience growing wildflowers and plants for butterflies, hummingbirds and bees!
We strongly believe in caring for our planet; we use recycled materials and strive to lower our carbon footprint. We learn to care for our world around us in everyday practice.
In the inspiration of Montessori, Reggio and Waldorf, we believe in holistic education. Flexible and tactile, accepting and

Roos Crew
We offer a social club-style program for children from 4-9 in a relaxed, nature-based setting.
We offer a different theme and activity with specialized guests every month to inspire your child and awaken their passions! Fostering your child’s individuality with gentle guidance and positive, kind encouragement.
Our guests include marine biologists, musicians, stuntmen, bee keepers, gardeners, artists, wildlife rescuers, dancers, indigenous leaders, and photographers… just to name a few!
Participation is there to help cross those tricky social boundaries, so we understand if your child is excited to follow their own adventures. We will be flexible and as a child-led program, we support autonomous learning and encourage imagination.
One month may be fine arts or recording their own music, dungeons and dragons and board games, or 3D designing and printing, pottery or cooking, fossils and rock hunting. We enjoy hunting for mushrooms, catching tadpoles, using vintage cameras, practicing archery and even designing and building our own playhouses. We are so lucky to enjoy many creative platforms and can’t wait to share new opportunities with our friends.
Wombat Hollow is surrounded by childrens’ gardens to tend, as well as wetlands to explore, farm animals to care for, and fully-fenced forest areas.
We follow the seasons for activities so we can be flexible and comfortable, and so our friends can socialize and explore in a safe and caring environment, no matter the weather.
Farm Friends
At Wombat Hollow Farm we know that cherished memories and incredible friendships can be made between animals and children.
With an array of goats, pigs, alpacas and chickens, there are animals for everyone to snuggle with.
There will be many opportunities to interact with our farm animal friends, our school pups and visits from wildlife rescues.
We offer edible gardens to explore, children sized flower gardens and a cozy barn to explore when the weather calls for it.
Our little Farmers in training will have the chance to learn about the seasons and the animals who live and change with them. We have access to view Heron nesting areas, tree frog and salmon spawning areas. Bald eagles, owls, hummingbirds and hawks to watch. Streams to rock hound and find raw clay! We keep your little ones engaged and busy. Creating those amazing bonds with each other and letting them follow their own intuition and excitement.
Being inspired by child lead and holistic education, we really listen to your child’s needs and give them the gentle guidance to explore their interests within the safety of a hobby farm experience.
